About YOUNGSTOWN Little Defenders

The Youngstown Little Defenders are a non-profit elite youth sports organization founded in August 2021. Currently, we offer football, cheerleading, and basketball to youth ages 6 through 12 residing in Youngstown, Ohio. Our mission is to pour into the youth of the community and create a catalyst to bridge the gap between hardships and disparities to opportunities and avenues for their futures. While our program provides enrichment primarily through athletics, we are also dedicated to implementing mentorship and academic growth adapted to each participant as well.

Our program is centered around equipping our youth with skills to

prepare them not only for the field but also to help them better navigate through life. Our dedicated coaching staff provides lessons based on accountability, humility, and preparedness. This is exemplified through the guided instruction, practices, and enrichment activities strategically planned throughout the year. With this systematic approach, we give our participants valuable interpersonal skills and fundamentals in a way that is conducive to sports.

Within our community, we have a large support system of volunteers, coaches, donors, businesses and corporations. Each of our partners shares a common mission of saturating our youth population in this area with an abundance of means to promote their individual success. These partnerships and networks are vital to the prosperity of our program, as we impact the lives of over 150 children and families in our community.
